After downloading extract the files to your desktop
You need to have USB debugging mode enabled on your Ascend P1. Do so by going in to Settings->Developer Options->USB Debugging and after making sure USB debugging is enabled, plug your P1 in to the PC
Run hwadb.exe and wait until it finishes its job.
Run ubl.exe and wait until it finishes its job. This might take sometime.
After finishing, just unplug your phone from the PC and restart it. You will find the SuperUser app on the app drawer. That means your Ascend P1 is rooted successfully
