Huawei Ascend P2 was released on April this year and it features 4.7inch 720P IPS LCD display, Huawei K3V2 Quad Core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz, 1GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 13MP primary camera. Overall its a feature packed smartphone on the Huawei line up.
At the moment Ascend p2 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and on this guide you will find how to Root it very easily using the rooting tool called Eroot.

- First of all you need to have USB drivers for the Ascend p2 installed on your computer. If you don’t have drivers, installing HiSuite and it will install the USB drivers automatically – http://huaweinews.com/2013/07/hisuite-v1-8-10-download/
- Download Eroot universal Rooting tool from here and install it – http://www.huaweinews.com/downloads/eroot.rar
- Enable USB debugging on your Ascend P2. To do that navigate to Settings->Developer Options->USB Debugging
Open Eroot utility and connect your Ascend P2 to the computer and wait until Eroot recognizes it. Here’s a sample screenshot from Ascend P6
Click the “Root” button and wait until all 4 options become green like the below screenshot
Congratulations! Your Ascend P2 is now rooted and you will see the Superuser app on your menu. Now you can install Apps or do modifications to system files which requires rooting.
