Huawei Ascend G700 is the latest addition to the Huawei’s mid range smartphones. And its the successer to the previous Ascend G615 smartphone as well. Ascend G700 just got released about a month ago and it packs MTK6589 1.2Ghz quad core processor, 720P HD IPS LCD touch screen, 2GB RAM,8GB ROM and 8MP Camera which is capable of shooting 1080P HD videos. Ascend G700 is bit different from other Huawei smartphones because it features a MTK branded processor unlike the Huawei’s own Hisilicon branded processor. But fear not MRK6589 packs a serious amount of punch and its a modern and its one of modern very capable processors.

If you already bought Ascend G700 you can follow this guide to Root it, so you can get the maximum capability out of your Android smartphone. As most of you might already know, Rooting is about getting the Administrator (Root) level privileges on the Android operating system.



As always make sure that Rooting is about modifying the system files of your phone and there is always a risk doing so. isn’t liable for any damages that might happen to your phone so proceed at your own risk. You might not be able to receive future OTA updates from Huawei if you root your device.

Rooting Process

First you need to install the USB drivers for Ascend G700. Download the drivers from Huawei – Extract the zip file and install the USB drivers on your PC. Restart your PC when its finished installing.

Now you need to enable USB debugging on your Ascend G700. Navigate to Settings->Developer Options->USB Debugging and then connect it to the PC

Now download the Eroot tool here – And open it up. This is the simple and free software used to Root the Ascend G700. Since this is built by Chinese developers its in Chinese language but have no fear as this is really easy. If your phone is detected successfully it will show the below screen


Just click the “Root” button and wait few minutes until the software finishes its job.  If the rooting is successful it will display a screen like below
