Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) is the alliance which develops Bluetooth technology and handling licensing for it. For any commercial device which uses Bluetooth, needs to be certified by the Bluetooh SIG. We have received reports that Huawei Ascend P6S showed up at the Bluetooth SIG and received the Bluetooth SIG certification.

Previously we have wrote about Ascend P6S appearing on a Taobao.com listing http://huaweinews.com/2013/10/ascend-p6s-taobao/ and also leaking Antutu benchmark scores http://huaweinews.com/2013/10/ascend-p6s-with-k3v2plus/

As you can see on the above screenshot, Ascend P6 S-U06 passed the bluetooth certification and it bears Bluetooth version 4.0. According to the certification Ascend P6S supports A2DP 1.3 and Bluetooth 4 HS technologies.

Firmware version is listed as B101-SP01 and SP01 probably means its a testing firmware. We have been also receiving reports that Ascend P6S will sport a K3V3 processor instead of previously expected HiSilion K3V2+ processor but we don’t have any solid evidence at the moment.  Launch of Ascend P6S might be very near and keep reading this web site for further news and updates.
