Well we never thought a Chinese mobile phone manufacturer will copy another Chinese manufacturers smartphones. We are not even sure what are the legal complications of this. Look at the advertisement above. A Chinese smartphone manufacturer called “Carpad” has blatantly copied Huawei Ascend P6 to make their newest smartphone called “Carpad Titanium”. We guess they just photoshopped Ascend P6S press images to make their own advertisements.
Carpad Titanium line seems to consist of 5 different models. All 5 equips MediaTek’s latest generation processors. The least priced one seems to have MT6582 1.3Ghz quad core processor with 1 GB of RAM and most expensive one has 2GB RAM and MT6592 true octa-core processor which is the same said to be featured in upcoming Huawei Honor 4. http://huaweinews.com/2013/11/huawei-honor-4-mediatek-processor/
Main differences from Ascend P6 are that the octa-core version of Carpad Titanium is called “T6 Max” and it features 6inch screen and removable battery. The least expensive one is called T5 and it has a 5inch screen and removable battery. NFC and Sony made camera module said to be included on all versions.
Press images doesn’t mention much about software and UI but we have a strong guess that it will look same as Huawei Emotion UI, otherwise they would have just removed the UI on the above press image right? Take a look at some of the press images below.
