Ascend P1 is one of Huawei’s most popular smartphones and unfortunately its receiving much less attention from Huawei when it comes to firmware updates. Actually Huawei’s developer team is quite busy adding new features to the current Android 4.1 firmwares for Ascend P1 but they doesn’t seems to be working on Android 4.2.2 for the Ascend P1 yet. Following the last wave of firmwares Huawei released the B710 firmware update for the Ascend P1. This new release comes just about a month after B709 firmware release which we covered right here - http://huaweinews.com/2014/01/ascend-p1-b709-firmware/.

This time, there isn’t any incremental update package available for those of you running the B709 right now on your Ascend P6. You will have to download the full update package in order to get this firmware running. If you are running B709 at the moment we think you should consider updating because this version brings many bug fixes and new additions to the B709. Here are few important facts from the changelog,

* WiFi settings backup and restore feature added
* Phone backup feature added
