Two-thirds of March is over already and we are yet to see the release of long awaited Android KitKat firmware for the Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone. Huawei initially promised to deliver it in January but last time we checked the time frame then extended to March. Even though we thought Android 4.2.2 firmware development cycle is over for P6 with the last B125 firmware, it seems like there is still some development going on for jelly bean firmwares.

Yesterday a firmware numbered as B132 was leaked on the internet and B132 said to be the successor to B125 firmware which was released almost 4 months ago. Ascend P6 owners were raging on the interwebs for Android KitKat and another Android 4.2.2 firmware leak leads us to wonder if Huawei will be late again to deliver the KitKat update to the users. However getting back to topic, here are some details of this newly leaked B132 firmware

Firmware version – B132
Android version – 4.2.2
Region – Europe
Google Apps Included – Yes
Kernel version – 3.0.8-00795
Emotion UI – 1.6

B132 firmware includes few bug fixes and performance improvements over the previous stable B125 firmware but some users reported that battery drain is little bit high than the B125. If you are running B125 firmware right now we recommend you to install this new firmware and if you face any problems you can always roll back to B125

Manual update is done by the default Huawei method and if you don’t know how, this is the guide for you –
