Huawei released B927SP02 development firmware for the Ascend Mate about 3 weeks ago as we reported here – http://huaweinews.com/2014/06/ascend-mate-b927sp02/. B927SP02 was based on the Android 4.2.2 and Emotion UI 2.0. B927SP02 was the first firmware update to feature, Emotion UI 2.0 for Ascend Mate. That might be the reason why Huawei marked B927SP02 as a development firmware. But things have changed and after about 2 weeks of releasing that firmware, Huawei has now released the finished stable version with Emotion UI 2.0 and Android 4.2.2.
B929 is the latest and greatest official firmware available for Huawei Ascend Mate MT1-U01. Huawei doesn’t always mark its firmwares for Chinese region as stable ones, but for this one they did and we think B929 should be really stable for Huawei to mark it as it is. Here are the quick facts,

If you already have B927SP02 running on your Ascend Mate, there won’t be any visual changes to the operating system. B929 includes the bug fixes and performance improvements to B927Sp02. And if you are running B927SP02 you should definitely consider upgrading to this version.
Google apps isn’t included in this firmware but Google Apps will be retained during the installation if you already have Google Apps installed on your Ascend Mate.

Make sure your battery is fully charged and take backups of your data
1. Unrar the downloaded file
2. Place the Update.app inside a folder named “dload” on your SD card root directory
3. Go to Settings -> System update -> Local Update and it will install the firmware
