Sadly Honor 3X G750-U10 owners are still stuck on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean while the Chinese G750-T00 owners are enjoying Android 4.4 KitKat on their phones. We are receiving a huge amount of emails, facebook messages and comments from our readers, asking when Android KitKat going to come out for the G750-U10 but we don’t know an answer to that question just yet. Maybe G750-U10 owners will never get an official Android 4.4 KitKat update but there are workarounds to get KitKat on your G750-U10 right now.

Convert your Honor 3X G750-U10 to G750-T00

Since Honor 3X G750-T00 got official update to Android 4.4  – http://huaweinews.com/2014/07/honor-3x-g750-kitkat/, there are methods to convert your international Honor 3X-U10 to T00 and then install the official EMUI 3.0 Android 4.4 firmware for T00 on your U10. Both models share the same hardware so you won’t have any issues at all apart from the challenges that you have to go through to convert your device.

You could just flash the G750-T00 firmwares on your U10 without thinking twice but it will result in loosing your IMEI. So to go forward with this procedure, you have to backup the the IMEI data contained inside NVRAM.

First of all you have to flash B113 official firmware for G750-U10 to get an unlocked bootloader so it will be easy if you already have B113 on your phone. Also your G750-U10 need to be rooted. Next you will have to take a backup of your NVRAM and save it on your computer to restore later on top of your G750-T00 firmware to get the lost network connectivity back.
